When you’re seeking a subtle glow up ~ imagine perfect post-vacation radiance ~ there are several options and they really couldn’t be easier for anyone to access.

• For starters, a serum with illuminating particles can help to infuse skin with hydrating ingredients along with a mild glow that gives any complexion an immediate boost.
  

• A radiant primer works similarly, lending skin a lit-from-within quality with the added benefit of giving any makeup you plan to wear extra staying power.
  

• Want a bit of glow and a more even skin tone? Choosing a double-duty product will grant your wish! There’s a range of formulas that can offer both luminosity and skin tone coverage for a more uniform appearance. For sheer coverage, try a skin tint or tinted serum, and if you want a more enhanced filtered effect try a radiant foundation with medium coverage.

For a little more luminosity…

If you want to take your glow to the next level—whether it’s via a little sparkle on the eye or cheekbones that enter the room first—the world is your sparkly oyster.

• This is where highlighters really shine. For a light dusting of luminosity, add a powder to your primping routine, swiping a big fluffy brush over your cheek and brow bones.

• Creams are a foolproof way of getting your glow on and your fingers are the perfect tools to get that lit-from-within look. We love using creams on all areas of the face and body, including dabbing a bit on the inner corner of your eyes, collarbones and cupid’s bow.

• To maximize your shine, apply your highlighter on top of your foundation and blush and work in layers to customize your level of sparkle.

For statement-making sparkle…

Now we’re really talkin’ 5 out of 5 stars glitz. Glitter used to only be for the eyes, but these days, there are high octane options for lips, nails are more.

• Adding OTT sparkle to your look is easy, especially on your nails. One, two, three coats of polish will give your digits next-level glitz, and glittery polishes tend to be more forgiving to paint on if you’re not a pro (but still a good idea to have polish remover on hand for clean up).

• For getting fancy in a flash, reach for a glittery cream shadow (Stila makes some A+ ones) and blend it onto your lids from lashes to brow bones. A coat of mascara will add definition. For those who know their way around a liquid liner, swap out your usual black cat eye for a metallic one this NYE.

• If those options are too advanced for you, a glitter-infused lip gloss works alone or over top of any lipstick for a glistening pout. Added bonus, a light-reflecting gloss will make lips appear fuller.
