With much ado for Q2, our monthly beauty haul has us zeroing in on finds that are a match to our seasonal freak. And right now, as transitional temps unfurl we’re craving a Vitamin-infused booster shot for tired-looking eyes, a nourishing moisturizer that understands the impact of lingering cold weather, a skin tint that looks like your skin but better and a fresh fragrance that has put a lil’ extra pep in our step. Here’s everything we’re taking with us to get through the April showers and more.

$1.66 is a small price to pay

for a tired eye makeover. Applied as biodegradable gel patches, this multi-benefit treatment contains pro-collagen peptides, Vit B12 and witch hazel that helps to hush dark circles, boost elasticity and firmness, and reduce puffiness. Oh, and it’s also fragrance-free, a welcome soothing perk for any sensitive eye girlies like me.

I’m hard to please

when it comes to fragrance as the collection of ones I’ll actually wear is very selective. On a recent trip, I threw a mini vial of this citrus forward scent into my bag before even giving it a whiff. To my surprise, when I spritzed it on I was instantly delighted. It has just what I look for in a warm weather eau: a fresh, easy breezy vibe and light airy notes like grapefruit, bergamot and jasmine that pair perfectly with lighter layers (aka not a puff coat).

Dewy, plump and even-looking skin?

That’s the goal, kids, and this tint gets me there in a flash with no struggle. It just does all the things. The lightweight gel is available in 15 shades, and is pumped with niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, squalane, and aloe water. The final result serves up a decent amountof complexion coverage that knocks out discolourationwhile leaving my skin with a glowy, juicy quality.

I’m all about discovering new Canadian brands

these days, and I recently came across this beauty from Alberta. Using a unique approach to skincare—you build your routine based on your climate—I could see this moisturizer easily fitting into anyone’s regimen, regardless of their longitude. Packed with shea butter, avocado oil, St. John’s Wort and chamomile, it achieves that rare feat of being ultra-nourishing while feeling weightless. Plus, I adore its subtle refreshing scent.

A pipeline to joy, confidence, etc.,

nothing hits like a red mani, but this innovative nail polish has others beat. An all-in-one formula blends base coat, treatment, colour and topcoat so you’re just two swipes away from the deeply pigmented, true blue-red tone that is the hallmark of all the chicest women I know. Last but not least, it dries to a long-lasting glossy finish. Becoming more stylish with less steps? Always a yes.

I’m a sucker for hydrating masks,

and this drugstore gem delivers rejuvenated skin with a wallet-friendly price tag. Nailing all the targets for a plump and happy visage, this mask contains mandelic and kojic acids to gently exfoliate, glycerin, squalane and shea butter to attract water and arnica for a soothing kick. I’ve been exploring this new-to-Canada line recently and there are so many hits to choose from, but this treatment is currently at the top of my pile.
