OTT Lashes
Something specific caught our eye during the fall/winter runways shows – and it wasn’t just the need-them-now clothes. OTT (Over the Top, got it?) lashes were a thing! Several ultra-dramatic spins on lashes, and the oft-neglected lower lash line, demanded a closer look. At Christian Dior, precise rows of inky dashes were enlisted to evoke a Sixties vibe, while a lower fringe in silver (along with floating white eyeliner) made a futuristic impact at Giambattisa Valli. The most wearable interpretation came via the women of Brandon Maxwell, who stepped out with spidery lashes on top and bottom plus a smudge of eyeliner down below for good measure. To lean into this beauty update, start by rethinking your mascara game. Forget the ol’ two coats rule. More is better, obvi.
